Sustainability for AN official supporter of the Paris 2024 Games

EARTHED was commissioned by SLX Ltd to support the delivery of sustainability on their contract with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Services Commissioned:

  • Paris 2024 aimed to capture a whole materials footprint of the Games. This meant, for every item of equipment in place at the Games, Paris requested the key component materials, details of upstream and downstream transportation and end of life treatment of the product.

  • As an official supporter and key supplier of the Games, it was required to report all transport movements to deliver the Games. This involved setting up an internal tracking system specific of the Paris project.

    SLX also used this as an opportunity for a project case study. EARTHED produced a Paris 2024 specific carbon footprint case study to identify the impact of this project on their overall footprint.

  • EARTHED attended tendering meetings with the SLX team to present on the approach to sustainability for the project.

    We were the direct liaison for SLX with the Paris team on all sustainability topics.
